Piedmont Spring Races, 2008

     

"This photo I took at my first steeplechase. I worked for Mike Elmore many many years ago when he was racing, but I never got to go since I was left in charge of his barn. I love the races and have so many compositions planned. During Spring races the landscape changes from cold and wintery to warm and green. This day in particular was quite chilly though there was a touch of spring in the light. It hangs in my dining room and catches the morning sun glowing in an east window."
