Hunt Study, I

 

This was a quick hunt study on a small canvas, 10" x 20". THe study was in color palette as well as movement. We all know when a horse shoves to scratch there is a strong pull on us as riders. Here the stiff capture of the rider's back is quite obvious even in head on view. The brush stroke of landscape enhances the single moment.
