The Palette:

With this painting I am started to keep notes on my palette. More often than not, I only use 3-4 colors. In this case though I used a few more. My wash was transparent orange and cerulean blue as a drawing color; mixed to a med green. Dry I came back first with transparent orange earth and thalo tourquise. Then came indian yellow and purple dioxazine. I did pull back in the transparent orange. I like the way these colors worked together. I had many greens and blues/purples to choose from. Ceulean was NOT used after the drawing so all the blues seen are from thalo tourquise and purple mixed with white. Quite surprising!
