Gail painting a hunt landscape in Rectortown, VA.
Gail Guirreri-Maslyk is an equestrian, sporting, landscape and portrait fine artist working in oil on canvas. Reproductions are available.
Gail moved to hunt country in northern Fauquier County last summer from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Blacksburg, VA. With the economy changing and a wish to be closer to family, Gail found a new life in the equine saturated community of northern Virginia.
"When you say you have 20 horses in Blacksburg, or most anywhere, you get raised eyebrows and many questions about why. Here in hunt country, the questions are about the horses and what do they do. I love that we (equestrians) are a majority of the community".
Gail was recently inivited to hang in Richmond at the State Senate opening in January, 2010. Four paintings include a pair of driving Friesians, Ellett Valley and an Orange County Fox Hound and the Redtail Hawk, Lucy.
